International Students Orientation is held to assist you in preparing for your academic career at the university.  The orientation program will also provide you with helpful information and programs on how to adjust yourself to Indonesian culture, and be informed about the immigration services, and recreational activities.

Specifically, the orientation program will help you in:

• Finding the way around the campus location
• Learning about the administration and academic procedures
• Learning about the administration procedures at the library
• Learning about how Indonesian Immigration works
• Getting to know extra lifestyle, including recreational activities in Semarang

Student Buddy

A Student Buddy will help with the orientation from the Hospitality Division which can assist both inbound and outbound exchange USM students in adapting to the host university as the form of our concern towards our international or Indonesian students.

Student Buddy Club is a club supervised by International Office USM comprising active USM students, both local and international students.

We invite USM students to join Student Buddy Club to minimize cultural barriers such as foods in the host country, the learning-teaching process and mostly it is the language. In the Student Buddy Club, the students can meet many people and strengthen friendships. They can also learn about the organization and how to manage people to organize events. The students can also help SIO USM to promote current exchange programs, seminars, and share their experience and knowledge.
