IISMA – Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards

Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards is the Government of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students for mobility programs at top Universities overseas. Undergraduate students could spend one semester at the overseas university partner to study, to experience the lost country’s culture and undertake practical assignments to hone their skills.

What is the Background of IISMA Program?

When the program was launched, Minister of Education Culture Research and Technology, Nadiem Makarim said that IISMA seeks to respond to the needs of students to develop skills required in the professional world. He also added that the programme provides students with the opportunity to realise their dreams by attending top courses at world-leading universities, developing cross-cultural skills, strengthening international networks, and preparing for the professional world.

The program, which is managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DGHE) and the Ministry of Education Culture Research and Technology (MoECRT), is open to all undergraduate students enrolled in higher education institutions under the DGHE.
